APBAlone Project – 1969 Tourney Update: (#10) White Sox white wash the (#7) Yankees

AMERICAN LEAGUE

PRELIMINARY ROUND (Best of Three)

SERIES #3

Series #3 of my 1969 APBA MLB tournament has the #7 New York Yankees (80-81) vs the #10 Chicago White Sox (68-94).

While the #7 Yankees finished just 1 game under .500, the #10 White Sox found themselves just 4 games better than the #11 Pilots.  A series victory for the White Sox would mean an AL Quarterfinal match-up vs the AL West Division champs, the #2 Minnesota Twins.

Game 1:  New York (Stottlemyre BZ, 0-0) at Chicago (John BY, 0-0)
